Banana Passionfruit
Also known as Tumbo, Tasco, Tintin, and Trompos, Curuba, Tauso, and Parcha.
The Banana Passionfruit is an oblong, flat and yellow when ripe fruit which grows on leafy branches. The inside is filled with black seeds in a translucent, orange pulp, reminiscent of a Passionfruit. Sweetness and acidity meet in this fruit with tastes of other tropical fruits as well. The pulp is often applied to fruit salads, jams, salad dressings or baked goods. However, this flavouring is most popular in drinks in South America. Banana Passionfruit originates from the Andean regions which can span over Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia.
